  • TubeG has changed how I watch YouTube videos
    TubeG saves my place when I watch a lecture or documentary on YouTube, so that I can come back at any time and pick up where I left off. I used to try to watch longer YouTube videos in my web browser, but I would usually close the tab or the browser absent-mindedly, and lose my place.

    TubeG lets me keep a list of content I want to watch in a completely different app, so that closing the browser (or shutting down the computer) doesn’t make me lose my place. In addition to that great feature, it’s a really clean and easy to understand interface. I’ve added the TubeG component to my Google Chrome browser so that if I see something I want to watch later I can click the icon on the Chrome task bar and load the YouTube video in TubeG for saving. You can make your own playlists in TubeG to sort out the content you want to save for later.

    Being able to save your stopping place in the video really makes TubeG useful for watching classroom lectures, documentaries, speeches and movies on YouTube. This sets TubeG apart from every other YouTube app -- TubeG is by far the best app of its kind!

    Если вам надоела реклама на ютубе, кривые тормозящие и жрущие батарею ноутбука проигрыватели Flash и HTML5, берите это приложение, все открывается в красивом нативном окне, которое можно свободно двигать и разворачивать на отдельный монитор, на ноутбках вообще сказка. Можно и настройки качества выбрать, и видео кешируется как положено, а не грузится заново, как только переключил на другой момент ролика. Русский язык, подключение к своим подпискам, проигрывание плейлистов по порядку, — все есть. В общем, как приобрел это приложение полтора года назад, так и пользуюсь ежедневно, чего и вам желаю ;)

  • I genuinely enjoy using this app
    Update: I still love this app. I honetsly use it everyday however recently I have been having some minor but ultimately annoying problems. The developer is very active with maintaing the app and responds almost immediately to all emails but after sending a few bug reports I almost feel like I’m a bother. When it works great it’s a fantastic app that lets you watch/listen to YouTube videos while simultaneously getting out of your way. I’ve gotten around most of the problems by using the browser extension instead of interacting directly with the menu bar icon but it’s a frustrating work around. I still highly recommend this app though.

    It’s not for everyone, especially at this price. I’ve tried free alternatives and paid alternatives like MenuTab for Youtube (which for the record is broken, I haven’t gotten it to play any videos in weeks) and I find this to be the best yet, which is why I gladly paid for it. I watch a lot of Youtube videos. I like that this app allows the videos to float over all windows and that the windows themselves are easily resizable. It has a nice clean look and the Pro version allows searching Youtube right from the menubar and supports playlists. Every video I’ve tried so far has played and best of all I’ve yet to see any ads before the videos. Best of all the developer seems really dedicated to maiantaing the app. App discovery is really awful in the Mac App Store because the same old apps are always featured and if not for randomly stumbling across this app from another website I’d never have discovered it.     Esse app mudou totalmente minha forma de interagir com o YouTube no Mac. A janela do vídeo sempre me acompanha, o que permite que eu continue a navegar e a utilizar outros apps, ainda que em tela cheia. É possível lançar o aplicativo e iniciar o vídeo de várias maneiras: Extensão no navegador, URL (tubeg://), botão direito sobre o link/thumbnail do vídeo, entre outras. Sem falar de todas as outras possibilidade no menu pop-up! Completíssimo! Impossível não recomendar e uma pena que ainda seja tão pouco conhecido. Obs.: Há uma versão de teste no site oficial!

    Если вам надоела реклама на ютубе, кривые тормозящие и жрущие батарею ноутбука проигрыватели Flash и HTML5, берите это приложение, все открывается в красивом нативном окне и работает отлично (кстати и в Yosemite тоже). Можно и настройки качества выбрать, и видео кешируется как положено, а не грузится заново, как только переключил на другой момент ролика. Русский язык тоже есть. Писал разработчику, и он в новой версии расширения для браузера сделает возможность открывать все youtube ссылки автоматически в этом приложениию без необхдимости копировать/вставлять адрес видео или даже нажимать на кнопочку! В общем, после долгих поисков и мучений решил для себя проблему удобства ютуба раз и навсегда, чего и вам желаю ;)
